RESOLUTION NO. 459
A RESOLUTION OF THE ,CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE;CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE
RECLASSIFICATION, UPON CERTAIN
CONDITIONS, OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LIVE OAK .
AVENUE AND LENORE AVENUE FROM ZONE
R-3 TO ZONE C-2.
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on August
17, 1962, the application of R. G. Harris, as owner, for a change
of zone from Zone R-3 to Zone C-2 of certain property located at
the southeast corner of Live Oak and Lenore Avenues; and,
WHEREAS, after notice required by the Zoning Ordinance of
said City, a public hearing was duly held on said matter by and be-
. fore this Commission on August 28, 1962, at which time all inter-
ested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and to
present evidence;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION DOES HEREBY
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That subject property is an unimproved lot
at the corner of Live Oak and Lenore Avenues ..presently zoned R-3;
that it is bounded on the east by C-2 property; on the south by
PR-2 property used as a church parking lot; on the w~st by R-3 prop-
erty and across the street to the north by C-2 and R-3 properties.
That all of the property east of subject lot on the s:ame side of the
street is zoned for commercial uses. That although there is some
R-3 development in the neighborhood, the location of ,subject prop-
~ erty in a block with other commercial development has made its use
for R-3 development undesirable.
SECTION 2. That due to tne location andslze of subject
property, its reclassification to Zone C-2 upon the qonditions here-
inafter specified is justified by good zoning practice. That this
Commission hereby recommends to the City Council of ~he City of

. Arcadia that the property at the soutneast corner of Live Oak and Le-
nore Avenues in the County of Los Angeles, state of California, de-
scribed as follows:
Part of Lot 12, Western Two-thirds Rancho San Fran-
cisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, page
49, Miscellaneous Records of said County, described
as ,follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 1, Tract
No. 15233, as shown on map recorded in Map Book
332, page 30, in the office of the County Recorder
of said County; thence South 80009'15" West 75 feet;
thence South 35009'15" West 35.36 feet; thence
South 9050'45" East 169.66 feet; thence North
80009'15" East 100 feet; thence North 9050'4'4" West
194.66 feet to the beginning;
be rezoned to Zone C~2 upon the rollowing conditions:
a. That prior to such reclassification becoming effective,
an alley twenty (20) feet in width be dedicated for puplic alley pur-
. poses at a location approved by the Director of Public Works, and
that the same be improved in accordance with the speci!fications of
the Public Works Department.
b. That complete building plans for any improvements to be
made on the property, together with ,a plot plan thereof, shall be
filed with ,and subject to the approval of the Planning Direqtor and
the, Director of Public Works.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be forwarded
to the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
