HomeMy WebLinkAbout0447 : .. , . . . , RESOLUTION NO. 447 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSIO~ OF THE pITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, APP~OVING THE REQUEST FOR MODIFICATION OF THE REAR YARD SETBACK REQUIREMENTS FOR REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1833 EL'VISTA CIRCLE IN SAID CITY. WHEREA~, there was filed with the Modification Committee of the City 'of Arcadia on February 27, 1962, the application of Herbert D. and Mary Ann Anderson for a modification of the rear yard setback requirements to allow the erection of a master bedroom , . . and bath at the rear of the present house located at 1833 El Vista Circle in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of Califbrnia, described as follows: Lot 7, Tract No. 14138, per map recorded in Map Book 415, page 46, in the office of the Recorder of said County; and, WHEREAS, after due notice as required by the Zoning Ordi- " nance of said pity, a public hearing was duly held on the matter by and before the Modification Committee on Tuesda~~arch 13, 1962, at which time i-ne l?e.quested modification from 25 feet to 12 feet was approved; and, WHEREAS, on April 6, 1962, a written appeal from said deci- sion of the Modification Committee was filed by Mr. and Mrs. John Mac L. Hunt of 1827 El Vista Circle; and, WHEREAS, such appeal from said decision was duly heard by ~ and before this Commission on the 24th day of April, 1962, which hearing was duly continued to May 8, 1962, at each of which times all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION HEREBY DETER- MINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: -1- 447 .. -~. . . . . SECTION 1. That in view of applicants' growing family, the proposed addition and the yard modification therefor is neces- sary to prevent unreasonable hardship; that the proposed location is the logical one to secure an appropriate improvement of the lot. That the addition,at its proposed location will not be unreasonably detrimental to other properties or improvements in the vicinity, and will not be out of conformity with other improvements in the area. SECTION 2. That for the foregoing reasons, the decision of the Modification Committee is hereby affirmed, the appeal there- from is hereby denied, and the requested modification of rear yard requirements to allow the construction of an additional bedroom and . bath in accordance with the plot plan on file with the City Plan- ning Comm:1.ssion is hereby approved. SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City' Planning Commission held on the 22nd day of May , 1962, by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Ferguson, Forman, Michler, Rutherford and Golisch NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioners Acker and Norton Chairman .
