RESOLUTION : NO.~ !t29 : A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMI$SIO~ OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE RECL~SSIFICATION ~PON CERTAIN CONDITIONS FROM ZONE R-l TO ZONES C-2 AND D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY), OF PROPERTY AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF LAS TUNAS DRIVE AND BALDWIN AVENUE IN SAID CI Tti. I WHEREAS, this Commission did, on its own.motion, by Reso- lution No. 426 adopted on October 10, 1961, institutepro~eedings for the purpose .of considering and making recommendations concerning the reclassification to Zones C-2 and D (Architectural. Overlay) of certain properties near the nprtheast corner of Baldwl.n Avenue and Las Tunas Drive, pursuant to which a public hearing wS;s, after notice . as required' by law, duly held for said purpose by and ',before this Commission on October 30, 1961, at which time all int~rested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That there were thos~ who spoke in favor of and those who spoke against the proposed rezoning. SECTION 2. That subject property has been developed to I and used for commercial purposes under variances ror many years. That it is located at the intersection of two arterial:' route;:! and such locations are generally considered to be best developed as com- merc1al properties rather than residential. That the other three . corners of the intersection are already zoned and deveQoped to C-2 uses. That the granting of commercial zoning under certain condi- tions imposed by an architectural overlay will be a benefit to the neighborhood and to the development of the city as a whole. SECTION 3. That for the foregoing reasons tpis Commission recommends that property in the City of Arcadia, County of Los -1- 429 " . . . .
