RESOLUTION NO. 400
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFOffiJIA, INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING AND
MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING
THE RECLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY ON THE NORT.H AND SOUTH SIDES
OF DUARTE ROAD BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND
AVENuES IN SAID CITY TO ZONE C-l AND
FIXING T}ffi DATE, HOUR AND PLACE OF A
PUBLIC HEARING FOR SUCH PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 912 property on Duarte Road be-
tween First and Second Avenues was rezoned to C-l contingent upon
the dedication of 12 feet for the widening of Duarte Road and the

dedIcation of property fOr the opening of an alley at the rear of
the property; and,
WHElillAS, little more than half of the properties described
in said Ordinance No. 912 have made the required dedications and
have been reclassified to Zone C-l; and,
vTHEREAS, the two year period specified in said Ordinailce
No. 912 as the time for complying with the conditions for rezoning of
the properties therein described has expired and the portions thereof
described in SectiOn 1 hereinafter have not been reclassified to
Zone C-l;
NOW, THEREFORE, Tfill CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS;

SECTION l. That the public health, convenience and gen-
eral welfare of the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof re-
quire the consideration of and the institution of proceedings for
the purpose of conSidering and making recommendations concerning the
reclassification to Zone C-l of the following described real property
in the Oounty of Los Angeles, State of California, to wit:
Lots 13 and 14 and the south half of the vacated
alley adjoining on the north, Block 62, Santa
Anita Tract, as shown on map recorded in Book 10,
page 58, of Miscellaneous Records of said county;

Lot 4, Tract No. 10532, as sho~, on map recorded
in Book 177, pages 21 and 22, of Maps, records
of said County; and
Lot 13 and the west 6 feet of Lot lIt, except the
southerly 2?2 feet tnereof; the east 107.23 feet
of Lot 14, except the southerly 252 feet thereof;
and Lot 15, except the southerly 326 feet thereof
and except the easterly 76 feet thereof, Tract
No. 808, as shown on map recorded in Book Ie,
pages 82 and 83, of Maps, records of said County.
SECTION 2. That the City Planning Commission does hereby,
on its own motion, institute proceedings for said purpose. That
Tuesday, January 24, 1901, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia,
California, is hereby fixed and determined as the date, hour and place
of the hearing for the consida- ation of such matters and for the pur-
pose of receiving all proper evidence and testimony relevant thereto.

SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause to be given notice of the date, place
and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a reglllar meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the
day of December, 1960, by the following vote:
AYES: Commissioners Ferguson, Golisch, Michler, Norton,
Rutherford and Acker
