RESOLUTION NO. 391 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING CO~iISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS FOR T}IE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING EVIDro~CE, CONSIDERING AND MAKING DETERMINATIONS AND RECOVMENDATIONS CONCERNING THE CLASSIFICATION TO ZONE M-l AND ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN ZONE) OF CITY- OWNED PROPERTY LYING WEST OF PECK ROAD, WHEREAS, the property hereinafter described has been owned by the City of Arcadia since it was annexed to said City on the 26th of February, 1941; and, WHEREAS, Section 9232.7 of the Arcadia City Code provides that property owned by the City, shall, while so owned, be deemed ... unclassified for zoning purposes; and, WHEREAS, an agreement for sale of said property or a por- tion thereof is about to be signed by said City of Arcadia; and, WHEREAS, one of the conditions of the sale of said prop- erty is that it shall be zoned, developed and used for industrial purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COr~SSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the public health, convenience and gen- eral welfare of the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof . require the consideration of and the institution of proceedings for the purpose of considering and making recommendations concern- ing the classification of the following described property in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, lying west of Peck Road and south of Live Oak Avenue, to wit: -l- 391 . . . . A portion of Lot 22, E. J. Baldwin's Subdivision of Lots 15-20 and 29-35 of the Rancho San Francisqui to, as shClW'n on map recorded in BOOK 42, page 86 of Miscellaneous Records in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County; and portions of Lots 14 and 15 of the Western Two-Thirds Rancho San Francisquito, as shown on map recorded in Book 42, page 93 and 94, of Miscellaneous Records in the office of said recorder, described as follows: That strip of land lying northwesterly of and adjacent to Peck Road 60 feet wide, said strip having a uniform depth of 370 feet, bounded northerly and southerly by the Arcadia City Boundary; and being a portion of that certain parcel of land conveyed to tne City of Arcadia by deed recorded in Book 10705, page 55 of official records of Los Angeles County; except therefrom the southeasterly 20 feet measured at ri~lt angles to said Peck Road. . -2- 391 . . . . . SECTION 2. That the City Planning Commission does hereby, on its own motion, institute proceedings for said purposes. That Tuesday, December 13, 1960, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock, p.m., in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, is hereby fixed and determined as the date, hour and place of t;le hearing for tne consideration of such matters and. for the purpose of receiving all proper evidence and testimony relevant ~lereto. SECTION 3. Tne Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause to be given notice of the date, place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law. .
