RESOLUTION NO. 378 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING THE GRANTING OF A ZONE VARIANCE TO-ALLOW A DWELLING TO BE MOVED ON TO THE REAR OF PROPERTY AT 330 WEST HUNTINGTON PLACE AND CONVERTING IT INTO A SCHOOL LIBRARY AND REMEDIAL READING ROOM. WBEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on July I, 1960, the application of The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Ange- les, a corporation sole, signed by Msgr. Gerald M. O'Keefe, for a variance to allow the removal of a dwelling, presently located at 924 Holly Avenue, to the rear of the property at 330 West Huntington Place in the City of Arcadia, County of Los Angeles, State of Cali- . fornia, described as follows: The westerly 90 feet of Lot 43, Tract No. 11969, as shown on map recorded in Book 259, pages 36 ~d 37, of Maps, records of said County; and that portion of Lot 4, Tract No. 2409, as shown on map recorded in Book 23, page 53, of Maps, a4joining on the north; and, WHEREAS, after notice required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City, as amended, a publiC hearing was duly held on the matter by and befo~e this Commission on the 12th day of JUly, 1960, at which time all interested persons were given a full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION HEREBY DETER- MINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: . SECTION 1. That there were no protests to the granting of the requested variance. That a similar request for the use of the building as a library at its present location was granted by the City Council on March 1, 1960 by Resolution No. 3226. SECTION 2. That it will not adversely affect the comprehensive general plan but rather will be beneficial in that it will permit access to a public street from certain landlocked property presently undeveloped because of its .inaccessibility. SECTIpN 4. That for the foregoing reasons, this Commission recommends to the City Council of the City of Arcadia that a zone variance be granted to allow the removal of the dwelling from the property at 924 Holly Avenue to the rear of the property at 330 West Huntington Place and its use for a library and remedial reading room. SECTION 5. The SecretarY'shall certify to the ad9ption of this resolution and shall cause a copy to be forwarded to the City . Council of the City of Arcadia.
