RESOLUTION NO. 312
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, RECOJ'IIMENDING THE
RECLASSIFICATION FROM ZONE C-2 TO
ZONE R- 3 OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
SOUTH OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE AND WEST
OF FOURTH AVENUE.

WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on August
28, 1958, the application of Sherwood E. Wise, as owner, for the
reclassification from Zone C-2 to Zone R-3 of the following de-
scribed real property in the County of Los Angeles, State of Cali-
fornia, to wit:
Lot 5, Tract No. 5205, except the northerly 215
feet, as shown on map recorded in Book 54, page
61, of Maps, Records of said County,
located south of Huntington Drive and west of Fourth Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, after notice required by Ordinance No. 760 of
said City, as amended, a public hearing was duly held on the mat-
ter by and before this Commission on the lOth day of September,
1958, at which time all interested persons were given a full oppor-
tunity to be heard and to present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION DOES HEREBY
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That there were no protests, either oral or
written to the requested reclassification.
SECTION 2. That subject property was once the southerly
. portion of a lot which faced Huntington Drive and which was divided
years ago, leaving subject property with no access to a street
except through a lot facing Fourth Avenue; that said access lot and
subject property were both zoned R-3 until the adoption of Ordinance
No. 1000 on November 19, 1957, when subject property was changed to

Zone C-2. That subject property is bounded on the south by the
Santa Fe Railway and on the other three sides by private property.
SECTION 3. That Section 15.1 of Ordinance No. 760 states,
"No property in a more restricted zone shall be used for ingress to
or egress from property in a less restricted zone, other than for
purposes permitted in such more restricted zone", thus leaving sub-
ject property With no street access except through residential prop-
erty.
SECTION 4. That for the foregoing reasons this Commission
recommends to the Arcadia City Council that the above described
property be reclassified from Zone C-2 to Zone R-3.
SECTION 5. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
. this Resolution and shall cause a copy of the same to be forwarded
to the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the
23rd day of September ,1958, by the following vote;
AYES: Commissioners Acker, Forman, Davison, Michler,
Vachon and stout
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Robertson
