RESOLUTION NO. 302 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS HlTENTION TO HlSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF AND MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS CONCEP~ING TP~ RECLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AT THE CORNER OF 4~S TUNAS DRIVE AND BALDWIN AVENUE IN SAID CITY TO ZONE D (ARCHITECTURAL OVERLAY) HI ADDITION TO THE BASIC ZONING TO BE APPLICABLE TO SAID PROPERTY AND CONCERNING ARCHITECTURAL RESTRICTIONS TO BE IMPOSED THEREON UNDER SUCH ZONE D. WITI&REAS, there was filed with this Co~mission on February 27, 1958, the application of Ralph D. Stogsdill, as owner, for a zone reclassification from Zones C-l to C-2, R-l to C-2 and R-l to PR-3 of the following described real property in the State of Cali- fornia, County of Los Angeles, to wit: Lots 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27, Tract No. 6641, as shown on map recorded in Book 126, page 67, of Maps, Records of said County, located at the southeast corner of Las Tttnas Drive and Baldwin Ave- nue; and, vffiEREAS, after notice as required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City, as amended, public hearings were duly held by and be- 1'ore this Commission, ,aDdl upon conclusion of said hearings, said Commission adopted its certain Resolution No. 289 wherein and where- by it made certain findings and recommendations to the City Council of the City of Arcadia; and, vmEREAS, after notice required by Ordinance No. 760 of said City, as amended, a public hearing was duly held by and before said City Council on an appeal by applicant from tr.e recommendations of this Commission contained in its Resolution No. 289, at the con- clusion of which hearing said City Council determined that subject -1- 302 -". . . . property located in the COlmty of Los An2;eles, state of California, should be rezOned as follows: Lots 23, 24 and 25, Tract No. 6641, from Zone C-l to Zone C-2; Lot 26, Trac.t No. 6641, from Zone R-l to Zone C-2; Lot 27, Tract No. 6641, from Zone R-l to PR-3, upon the condition that architectural controls be imposed upon said property cor.currently with its reclassificaticn; NO\'[, THEREFORE, THE CITY PLANNING COIvlMISSION HEREBY DETEH- MINES IIND RESOLVES AS FOLLO\'IS: SECTION I. That the public health, convenience ~ld Gen- . eral welfare of the City of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof re- quire the consideration of and the institution of proceedings for the purpose of considerin~ and m~{ing recommendations concerning the reclassification to Zone D (Architectural Design Zone), in addition to the basic zoning presently applicable to or which may hereafter be imposed upon the above described property. SECTION 2. That the City Planning Commission does hereby institute proceedings for said purpose. That Tuesday, the 12th d~y of August, 1958, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock r.M. in the Coun- cil ~h&nbers of the City Hall, 240 W. ~untingtoll ~rive, is hereby fixed and determined as t:le date, hour and place of a hearing for the consideration of such matter. . SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause to be given notice of the date, place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law. -2- 302 . - ....... . . . . .
