property is proposing to undertake a remodel of the existing single-family residence including a
ground floor addition and a new, second story that is subject to the City’s Single- Family
Architectural Design Review process. You have the opportunity to comment on the project prior
to the City making a decision on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15301(e)(2) from the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) as an addition to an existing structure; and
B. Single-Family Architectural Design Review No. SFADR No. 22-14
Project Description: The Applicant is proposing an addition to and remodel of an existing
residence comprising the following: first story addition of 561 square feet, and a new second
story of 1,845 square feet. An existing 743 square foot attached garage will be retained and
extended by 556 square feet to create a three-car garage. The remodeled house is proposed to
have a contemporary/modern architectural style.
Lot Size: 11,987 square feet
Existing Building Size (excluding the garage): 1,989 square feet
New Building Size (excluding the garage): 4,395 square feet
Floor Area Ratio Proposed: 5,218 square feet (43.5%)
Floor Area Ratio Allowed: 5,294 square feet (44%)
