property is proposing to build undertake a remodel of the existing single-family residence
including a ground floor addition and a new, second story that is subject to the City’s Single-
Family Architectural Design Review process. You have the opportunity to comment on the
project prior to the City making a decision on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15303 from the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) for the new construction of one single-family dwelling; and
B. Single-Family Design Review No. SFADR No. 23-04
Project Description: The Applicant is proposing an addition to and remodel of an existing
residence comprising the following: first story addition of 907 square feet, and a new second
story of 907 square feet. The remodeled house is proposed to have a contemporary/modern
architectural style.
Lot Size: 12,001 square feet
Existing Building Size (excluding the garage): 2,114 square feet
New Building Size (excluding the garage): 4,046 square feet
Floor Area Ratio Proposed: 4,046 square feet (34.9%)
Floor Area Ratio Allowed: 5,300 square feet (47%)
Comment Period: Thursday, March 16, 2023 to Thursday, March 30, 2023, 5:30 PM
