.
The Chamber of Commerce recommendation is that the maximum
sign area be computed by determining the area of that portion
of the sign which is visible, Therefore, in the case of a double
face sign, the maximum area of anyone side could be 100 sq. ft.
The entire surface area of the sign could be,twice that amount or
200 sq, ft, ,
The Committee feels the staff recommendation is proper for
Arcadia especially in Zone C-l
An example of a sign about 100 sq. ft, by computing both sides
is the Tidewater sign at the northwest corner of Huntington Dr,
and Santa Anita Avenue. The smaller sign at the rear of the
station on the Santa Anita side is about 25 sq, ft.
