proposing a remodel of and addition to an existing, legal, nonconforming multi-family property in the Single
Family (R-1) Zone. You have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a decision
on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15301(e) of the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) for an addition to an existing structure; and
B. Single-Story Architectural Design Review No. SSADR 22-20 and Major Administrative
Modification No. Major AM 22-06.
Project Description: The Applicant is proposing a single story addition of 70 square feet to an existing,
legal nonconforming unit (Unit #3). The project also includes an interior remodel of Unit 1. No changes are
proposed to Unit 2.
Lot Size: 25,241 square feet
Existing Building Size (excluding the garage): 6,385 square feet
New Building Size (excluding the garage): 6,455 square feet
Floor Area Ratio Proposed: 6,656 square feet and 26.4%
Floor Area Ratio Allowed: 9,310 square feet and 37%
Comment Period: June 15, 2023 to June 29, 2023 at 5:30 PM
