neighborhood. Commissioner Penny said one person was trespassing and looking around the
property. Recreation Supervisor (RS) Gina Hernandez said she will pass the message along to
the Deputy Director of Recreation and Community Services (DDRCS) Candice Cheung.
Commissioner Martinez provided the Recreation and Community Services Department
certificates for individuals experiencing homelessness. The certificate entitles an individual to
two shirts, two pairs of pants, shorts, or skirts, and one sweater or jacket from the Bargain Box
on Live Oak Avenue. Commissioner Martinez reported the Assistance League had their Day of
Service on May 7 and filled 135 backpacks for children who graduated out of the foster care

distributed the backpacks to the Sycamores and Trinity Youth Centers. Commissioner Martinez
asked if there was any way we could have the City Council Member Liaison attend meetings.
