RESOLUTION NO. 527
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A PUBLIC
HEARING, RECEIVING EVIDENCE AND
MAKING DETEm~NATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
CONCERNING THE GRANTING OF A VARIANCE FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A
PLANNED RESIDENTIAL UNIT DKVELOPMENT ON
THE SOUTH SIDE OF DUARTE ROAD EASTERLY
OF EL MONTE AVENUE IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY PLANNING CO~SSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA,
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the public health, welfare and convenience
. of the C~ty of Arcadia and the inhabitants thereof require the consid-
eration of and the institution of proceed~ngs for the purpose of ho1d-
ing hearings, receiving evidence and making recoMnendations concerning
the granting of a variance for the construction and maintenance of a
planned residential unit development on that portion of the City of
.
Arcadia, California, bounded as follows:
Beginning at a point on the North line of lot 16,
trac t 13856, as shown on map in Book 2'17, Page 10,
of Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles
County, said point being l~feet West of the northeast
corner of said lot 16; thence westerly along the
North line of lot 16 and lot 17 of said tract and the
prolongation of said North line to its intersection
with the prolongation of the West line of lot 18 of
said tract; thence South to the northwest corner of
said lot 18; thence West along the North line of lots
19 and 20 of said tract and the prolongation of the
said North line to its intersection with the prolonga-
tion of the West line of lot 21 of said tract; thence
South to the northeast corner of lot 3, tract 13495,
as shown on map in Book 327, Pages 27 and 28, of Maps
in the office of said Recorder; thence West to a point
12.5 feet North of the northeast corner of lot 2 of said
tract, said point oeing on the prolongation of' the East
line of said lot 2; thence South to the northeast corner
of said lot 2; thence westerly along the North boundary
line of said tract to the northwest corner of said
tract; thence northerly to the northeast corner of
tract 13726 as shown on map in Book 328, Pages 49 and

East right-of-way line of El Monte Avenue; thence
North along the East right-of-way line of E1 Monte
Avenue to its intersection to the South right-of-way line
of Duarte Road, 60 feet wide; thence easterly along
said right-of-way line to the point of intersection
with a line 9 feet {>lest and parallel to the East line
of lot 13, tract 6074, as shown on map in Book 6'(,
Page 83, of Maps in the office of said Recorder; thence
South along last mentioned line to the point of be-
ginning.
SECTION 2. Fhat Tuesday, the 11th day of August, 1964, at
the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall,
240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, is hereby ~1xed and
determined as the date, hour and place of a public hearing for the
consideration of said matters and for hearing and receiving testimony
and evidence pertaining thereto.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause to be published notice of the date,
place and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
. this resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the 28th day of
July, 1964, by the following vote:
