RESOLUTION NO. 492
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA,
CALIFORNIA, INITIATING PROCEEDINGS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING AND
MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING
THE GRANTING OF A zONE VARIANCE FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN EIGHT STORY
OFFICE BUILDING ON THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF FIRST A VENUE iillD WHEELER
STREET IN THE CITY OF ARCADIA.
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALI-
FORNIA, DOES HEREBY DETERMINE Jill1) RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 9291.1 of the Arcadia
Municipal Code the City Planning Commission does hereby on its own
motion initiate proceedings for the purpose of considering and making
recommendations concerning the granting of a variance from such pro-
visions of the Zoning Ordinance as may be necessary to permit the
construction of an eight story office building as contemplated by
that certain Lease Agreement and Purchase Option executed by the City
of Arcadia on April 2, 1963 upon the following described property in
the City of Arcadia:
All of Lots 21, 18, 19 and 20, except
the easterly ten (10) feet thereof, of
Block 74, Arcadia Santa Anita Tract, per
map recorded in Book 15, Page 89,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 2. That TueSday, the 13th day of August, 1963, at
the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Arcadia
City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, is hereby fixed as the date,
... time and place of a public hearing by and before this Commission for
the purpose of receiving all pertinent testimony relative to the
proposed variance.

SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause notice to be given of the date, place
and purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the 23rd
day of July
, 1963, by the following vote:

Commissioners Forman, Golisch. Hanson, Kuyper.
Norton, Parker and Ferguson

None
