'ARCADIA: RECOMMEND!I!NG CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE'GENERAL',PLAN'REIiATING TO PROPERTY AT'510 THROUGH 5i6 NORTH 'SANTA ANITA, 6 EAST'NEWMAN' AVENUE, AND 'THE 'PROPERTIES BOUNDED'BY'SANTA'ANITA AVENUE; 'THE FOOTHILL FREEWAY AND"'NEWMAN AVENUE. WHEREAS, publi'c' hEra'rings were'hel'ddn May 27 and July 8, 1975, for the purpose of considering a change in the General Plan on property at 510 through 516 North Santa Anita, 6 East"Newman Avenue and for the properties bounded by Santa Anita Avenue on the west, the Foothill Free- way on the north and east, and by Newman Avenue on the south, which is shown on the current General Plan as commercial; and WHEREAS, all interested 'persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE',' BE '1T'RESOLVED 'l'HAT THE "PLANNING COMMISSION MAKES'l'HE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATION ,AND FINDS AS FOLLOWS: SECTION -1. That 'sa'i:d' property 'shown-in the General Plan as commercial should ,be'<l~eclass'i'fied and shown- as Multiple Family Resi- dential (7+ du!ac). SECTION 2. The P1anning CommissIon-'firids that said properties are not conducive to'cornrnercia1 development; that the existing uses are stable a~d highly"compat'ible' with properties to the south, and would ~e consistent with the proposed' designation, and that the public convenience, necessity and welfare justify the proposed change. SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. -1- 903 '. . . . .. . .
