RESOLUTION NO. 882
A RESOLUTIOU OF THE pLANNIllG COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOMMENDING
A ZONE CHANGE FROM R-3 AND M-l TO R-l
AT 229-235 NORTH FIFTH AVENUE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 28, 1975,
for the purpose of consideri'ng changing the zone from R-3 and M-I
to R-l on the property located at 229-234 North Fifth Avenue which
is presently zoned M-l and R-3, more particularly described as
follows:

Lots 4, 6 and 8, Tract 13949 and Lot 5, excepting that
portion sold to the State ,of California for the Foothill
Freeway.
Lot commences at the northwest corner of Lot 5 then
south on west line of said lot, 13.63 feet, then south-
east to a point west on the south line of said lot
72.24 feet from southeast corner of said loti then east
and following the boundary line of said lot to beginning
part of Lot 5.
Tract 13949 as shown on map record book'285, pages 25
and 26 of maps 'in the office of the Recorder of Los
Angeles County, bounded' on the north: by the right of
way, on the southwest. by ,the Foothill Freeway, and on
the east by Fifth Avenue.
WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full oppor-
tunity to be heard and to present evidence;
NO'l'l, THEREFORE,- THE"PLANNING COMMISS10N OF THE CITY OF
ARCADIA HEREBY' DETERMINES' AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The subject area consists of three lots, two
of which are vacant and one which is developed with a single family
dwelling. Property to the east is in the City of Monrovia and is

zoned R-3 and developed predominantly with single family dwellings;
property to the west and south contains the Foothill Freeway; pro-
perty to the north is a vacant portion of the old Pacific Electric
right of way, and is zoned R-l.
SECTION 2. The Planning'ComIllissionrecommends to the
City Council that the zoning on the above described property be
changed from M-l and R-3 to R-l.
SECTION 3. That the Planning commission finds' -that the
proposed change would provide uniform zoning within the area and
that the pUblic convenience, necessity and general welfare justify
the above zone change.
SECTION 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this 'resolution.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia
on the 11th day of February, 1975, by the following vote:

Commissioners Clark, Hegg, Huddy, Kuyper, Livingston,
Reiter, Coghlan
