RESOLUTION NO. 870 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOMMENDING A ZONE CHANGE FROM R-3 TO R-2 AT 756-818 WEST NAOMI AVENUE WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 29, 1974, for the purpose of considering changing the zone from R-3 to R-2 On the property located at 756-818 West Naomi Avenue which is presently zoned R-3, more particularly described on attached "Exhibit A". WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA HEREBY DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOW~: SECTION 1. Subject property is developed with 14 single family dwellings .and one duplex dwelling' and zoned R-3; the properties to the north are zoned C-2 and are developed with commercial uses and related parking areas; the :properties to the east are zoned C-2 and are developed 'with commercial uses or are vacant; properties to the south are zoned R~2 and R- 3 and are developed with multiple s-ingle family dwelling units; properties to the west are zoned C-l and are developed with multiple single family dwelling units. SECTION 2. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the zoning on the above described property be changed from R-3 to R-2. -1- 870 . . . SECTION 3. That the Planning Commission finds that the proposed change would provide uniform zoning within the area and that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare justify the above zone change. SECTION 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregiong resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the Ci ty of Arcadia held on the 12th day of November, 19~7 4, by the following vote: AYES: CommissionerlS Clark, Huddy, Kuyper , Livingston, Reiter, Hegg NOES: None . LEGAL DESCRIPTION Z-74-4 Those portions of Lots 5 and 6, Block A of Santa Anita Land Company's Tract as shown on map recorded in Book 6, Page 137 of Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Naomi Avenue (50 feet wide) and a line parallel with the easterly line of said Lot 6, and westerly distant 249 feet therefrom; thence easterly along said southerly line to its intersection with a line parallel with said easterly line of 'Lot 6 and easterly distant 132 feet therefrom; thence southerly along last said parailel line to its intersection with the southerly line of said Lot 5, thence westerly along last said southerly line to. its intersection with a line parallel with above mentioned easterly line of Lot 6 and westerly distant, 249 feet therefrom; thence northerly along last said 'parallel line to the point of beginning.
