RESO LVTI ON, NO. 869 A RESOLUTION Of THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOMMENDING A ZONE CHANGE FROM C-l TO R-2 AT 6732-6756 GOLDEN WEST AVENUE AND 9808-9834 NAOMI AVENUE. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 29, 1974, fot' the purpose of considering changing the zone from C-l to R-2 on the property located at 6732-6756 Golden West Avenue and 9808-9834 Naomi Avenue,- more particuL3.rlydescribed on attached "Exhibit A". WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE P,LANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA HEREBY DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Subject property is developed with 18 single family dwelling units and zoned C-l; prop:erties to the north are zoned C-l & D and C-2 and are developed w~th commer- cial uses and related parking areas; properties to the east are zoned R-3 and are developed'wrth multiple single family residential; properties to the south are located in unincorporated county territory and zoned R-A and are developed with single family dwelling units; properties to the west are located in unincorporated county territory and zoned R-A and are developed with single family dwelling units; properties to the northwest -1- 869 . . . are located in unincorporated county territory and zoned R-3 29U and are developed with multiple family dwelling units. SECTION 2. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the zoning on the above described 'property be changed from C-l to R-2. SECTION 3. That the' Planning Commission finds that the proposed change would provide uniform zoning within the area and that the public convenience, necessity and general welfare justify the above zone change. SECTION 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this res.olution. I HEREBY CERTIfY THAT THE foregoing resolution was ~ adopted at a reguiar meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia held on the 12th day of November, 1974, by the following vote: AYES: Commissioners Clark, Huddy, Kuyper, Livingston, Reiter, Hegg NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioner Coghlan ~~~., ha~rman '"~~d Secretary . -2- 869 ~ . . LEGAL DESCRIPTION Z-74-3 That portion of Lot 6, Block A of Santa Anita Land Company's Tract as shown on map recorded in Book 6, Page 137 of Map~ in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, described as follows: Beginning at the inter~ection of the southerly line of Naomi Avenue (55 feet wide) and the easterly line of Golden West Avenue (60 feet wide), thence easterly 381 feet along said southerly line; thence southerly 305 feet parallel with said easterly line; thence westerly parallel with above mentioned southerly line to its intersection with above said easterly line; thence northerly along said easterly line to the point of beginning.
