RESOLUTION NO. 850 A RESOLUTION OF THE ,PLANNING CO~1ISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOHl-1ENDING A ZONE CHANGE FROM R-l TO C-l AND D ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS 1130-1150 COLORADO STREET (EATON PROPERTY) AND RECm~1ENDIllG REGULATIONS FOR THE D ZONE. WHEREAS, a public he?iring was held on Hay 14, 1974 for the purpose of considering changing the zone from R-l to C-l and D, R-l 10,000 P and D, and R-l 10,000 and D on the property which consists of all of the R-l zoned property in the block bounded by Hichillinda Avenue on the west, Colorado Street on the north, Altura Road on the east, and the rear lot lines of six R-O and D 15,000 residences on the south. The subject property is commonly . known as the Eaton Property. WHEREAS, all interested persons were given full oppor- tunity to be heard and to present evidence; and WHEREAS, the proposed rezoning is proper and would not adversely affect any adjacent property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, RESOLVED: SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the zoning on that certain property known as Parcel A and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, be changed from R-l to zone classification C-l and D. SECTION 2. The Planning Commission recommends to the . City Council that upon classification of said property in the D zone, the following architectural design zone conditions be imposed: -1- 850 . . . . . (1) The colors and materials on the exteriors, the type and pitch of the roofs, the size and spacing of windows, doors and other openings, plot plan, landscaping and automobile parking area shall be subject to the review and approval of the Planning Commission. (2) Only one free standing sign shall be permitted and shall be located within 100 feet of the intersection o,f the northerly and westerly property lines. Wall signs shall be located only on the north and west building walls. SECTION 3. That the Planning Commission finds that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice justify the above recommendation. SECTION 4. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause a copy to be forwarded to the City Council of the City of Arcadia.
