Notice of Pending Decision—Major AM 23-07
NOTICE OF PENDING DECISION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the property owner of the subject
property is requesting a Major Administrative Modification for a reduced side yard setback to
legalize an existing single story addition on the garage and redesign the roof of the garage to
match the house. You have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making
a decision on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15301(e) of the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) Guidelines for additions to existing structures; and
B. Major Administrative Modification No. Major AM 23-07
Project Description: The Applicant proposes to legalize an existing a 166 square foot addition
to the garage. A modification is being requested to allow the addition to have a reduced side
yard setback of 1’-6” in lieu of the required 6’-0” side yard setback along the northernly side
yard. The 1’-6” setback for the addition will maintain the same building plane and side yard
setback as the structure it is being added to. The applicant is also proposing to reframe and
redesign the roof of the garage which is legal, nonconforming in order to match the current roof
of the house.
Comment Period: September 5, 2023 to September 19, 2023 by 5:30 PM
