HomeMy WebLinkAbout0732 . . . . , .. . RESOLUTION NO. 732 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL A ZONE CHANGE AT 855 SOUTH BALDWIN AVENUE. WHEREAS, an application was filed 15 April 1971 by Frank Schneider and Associates, developers representing Sizzler Family Steak House, requesting the portion of said property at said address hereafter described be reclassified from Zone R-2 to Zone PR-3; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on 11 May 1971 at which time all interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to present evidence; and WHEREAS, the zone change is necessary to allow adequate parking for the adjacent commercially zoned properties fronting on Baldwin Avenue; and WHEREAS, the proposed rezoning would not adversely affect any adjacent property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the following described property be reclaSSified from Zone R-3 to Zone PR-3': The southerly 100.00 feet of Lot 22 "said distance being measured along the westerly line of said Lot 22" of Tract 2731, in the City of Arcadia, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 33, page 29, of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, together with that portion of the Rancho Santa Anita, in said City, County and State, as per map recorded in Book 1, page 97, of Patents, in said Office of the County Recorder, included within that part of the northerly 20.00 feet of the 40.00 foot strip marked "Right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad" on said map of Tract 2731, which is -1- 732 . , , . bounded on the west by the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of said Lot 22, and bounded on the east by the southerly prolongat;ion of the easterly line of said Lot 22. SECTION 2. That good zoning practice justifies said change of zone, SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Arcadia held on the 25th day of May , 1971, by the following vote: .
