RESOLUTION NO. 730
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOMMENDING
REGULATIONS FOR STORAGE OF RECREATIONAL
VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT IN RESIDENTIAL
ZONES.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on its own motion has held
public hearings to consider certain proposed amendments to the zoning
ordinance, hereinafter set forth, at which public hearings all
interested persons were given full opportunity to be heard and to
present evidence.

, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE PLANNING COMMISSION
HEREBY FINDS AND DETERMINES AS FOLLOWS,:
SECTION 1. That Sections 9251.2.14, 9252.2.23, 9253.2,,19,
9255.2.11 be amended each to read as follows:
(a) No front yard and no required side yard shall be used
either for the storage of vehicles designed or used for recreation
purposes or for the storage of recreational equipment, provided that
the Modification Committee may issue a permit for such storage on
condition that the storage site is landscaped so as to screen
observation of the vehicle or equipment from adjacent streets. Storage,
as used herein, means continuous storage for more than seven days,
If the Modification Gommittee determines, because of the nature of the
site, that a proper screen cannot be provided, it may issue a limited
permit for a vehicle or equipment which is stored on a site upon the
effective date of these regulations.
(b) For the purposes of the accessory building and lot
coverage restrictions of this title, the area of a lot used for
storage of recreational vehicles or equipment shall be deemed to be
covered by a building.

(c) These regulations shall be operative one year after
the effective date of the ordinance which enacts them,
SECTION 2. The Planning Commission finds that the public
convenience, general welfare, and good zoning practice justify the
above amendments.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution and shall cause a copy to be forwarded to the City
Council of the City of Arcadia,
