RESOLUTION NO. 686
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA RECOMMENDING A ZONE
CHANGE AT 531-601 WEST DuARTE ROAD.
WHEREAS, an application was filed on 24 September 1969
by the owners of the property at 531-601 West Duarte Road,
hereafter more particularly described, requesting that said property
be ~eclassified from zone R-l to zone C-O; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on 14 October 1969 at
which time all interested persons were given full opportunity to
be heard and to present evidence; and

WHEREAS, it appears that there is an adequa,te amount of
property within the City of Arcadia presently zoned C-O; and
WHEREAS, it appears that 'said property may presently be
used for zone R-3 purposes, pursuant to an existing variance, and
is surrounded by other property which is presently used for multiple
residential and commercial purposes, and that it would be proper to
rezone said property to R-3 multiple-family zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.
SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission recommends to
the City Council that the property known as 531-601 West Duarte
Road be reclassified from zone R-l to zone R-3. Said property is
described as follows:

Lot 45 together with the westerly 70.31,feet of
Lot 46, Tract 3430 as per map recorded in Book
42, page 32 of Maps in the office of the County
Recorder of said County.
SECTION 2. That good zoning practice and the public
health, safety, and welfare require said change of zone.

SECTION 3. The Se~retary shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall cause a copy to be forwarded to the
City Council of the City of Arcadia.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Planning Commission held on the
28th day of Octaber
, 1969. by the following vote:
AYES: Comm issioners Erickson, Kuyper, Lauber,
Livingston, Parker, Reiter, Cahill
