RESOLUTION NO. 644
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE PUBLIC, HEALTH, WELFARE AND CONVENIENCE
OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA REQUIRE THE DENIAL OF
AN APPLICATION FOR CERTAIN ZONE, CHANGE,
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA DOES
DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, LIVE OAK MEDICAL BUILDING COMPANY, as owner, filed
an application requesting that the property owned by them at the
northwest corner of Live Oak and Greenfield Avenues, known as 111
East Live Oak Avenue and more particularly described as Lot 2 of
Tract 12915 in the City of Arcadia, hereinafter referred to as the
. subject property, be reclassified from Zone c-o to Zone C-l; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said application a public hearing was
held by the Planning Commission on the 9th day of April, 1968; and
WHEREAS, a report was received by the Commisston from the
staff, the applicant and others were given an opportunity to present
oral testimony to the Commission; and
WHEREAS, letters arguing in favor and against rezoning
and a petition filed by adjacent residential owners were filed with
the Commission and read into the record;
.
NOW, THER.l!.'"'FORE, THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ARCADIA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Planning Commission finds that good
~ zoning practice, the public health, welfare, and convenience of the
City of Arcadia, and the inhabitants thereof, require that the sub-
ject property remain in Zone C-O and not be Changed to Zone C-l.
The Commission further finds that the following factors support the

above findings regarding the subject property:
1. The property immediately to the west of the subject
property is zoned C-O. The property immediately to the north and
northwest of the subject property is zoned R-l. The property im-
mediately to the east of the subject property across Greenfield is
zoned C-O.
2. There is already adequate retail commercial zoning in
the general area.
3. The C-O zone is more compatible with the adjacent R-l
property than a C-l zone.
SECTION 2. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this resolution.
.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted
