RESOLU'l'ION NO. 630 A RESOLuTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COl~ISSION OF THE CITY 0]' ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A PUBLIC HEARING, RECEIVING EVIDENCE AND MAKING RECOM- MENDATIONS CONCERNING THE RECLASSIFYING OF PROPERTY i'1ITHIN THE AREAS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE SANTA ANITA VILLAGE COMMUNITY HOMEOw~RS ASSOCIATION AND THE RANCHO SANTA ANITA RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROCEDURES ESTABLISHED BY CHAPTER 2 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE ARCADIA HUNICIPAL CODE. That the public health, welfare and con- - veniance of the City of Arcadia and the inha.bitants thereof require the consideration 9f and the institution of proceedings for the purpose of holding hearings, receiving evidence and making recom- mendations to deter'mine if the properties within the areas known as Santa Anita Village Community Homeowners Association and the Rancho Santa Anita Residents Association should be reclassified from Zone R-l to Zone R-O-D and R-I-D. The two areas are located within the following boundaries: ColoradO Street and Colorado Place on the north and east; on'the south by the southerly line of Tract No. 14940 ~1d No. 15318; and on the west by Baldwin Avenue; those properties bounded on the north by Colorado Street, on the west by Sunset BoulevaTd and Michillinda Avenue, on the south by . Huntington Drive, and on the east by Baldwin Avenue. Within the above generally desc.ribed areas are some properties ~Thich are not proposed to be reclassified. The properties excluded from this hea~'ing are as follows: L The properties fronting on the easterly line of Sunset Boulevard between Balboa Drive and Portola Drive. -1- 630 , , . . . . 2. The property known as the "Los Angeles St?,te and County Arboretum." 3. Those properties bounded by Sunset Boulevard, Portola Drive, Cortez Road and Huntington Drive. 4. Those properties within the area bounded on the west by Cortez Road, on the south by Huntington Drive, on the east by Golden West Avenue, and on the north by the southerly line of Tra,ct No. 11688 extended to the intersection with the easterly line 'of Cortez Road. 5. Those properties Wi thin the area bounded on the wes t by Golden West Avenue, on the south by Huntington Drive, on the east by Old Ranch Road, and on the north by the southerly lines of . Trac t No. 11688 and No. 12104. 6. Those properties within the area bounded on the west by Old Ranch Road, on the north by Hugo Reid Drive, on the east by Baldwin Avenue, and on the south by Huntington Drive, excepting therefrom those properties fronting on Old Ranch Road which consist of Lots 129 through 150 of Tract No. 12104 and Lots 50 through 60 of Tract No. 12786. 7. Those properties bounded on the north by Colorado . Street, on the eas,t Altura Road, on the west Michillinda Boulevard, and on the south the northerly Tract boundary of Tract No. 17430. (NOTE: The attached map was prepared to aid in describ- ing and illustrating the properties which are a part of the public hearing. In eVent of any differences between the map and the ~Irit- ten description, the line shown on the map shall prevail. SECTION 2. That Tuesday, March 26, 1968, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, California, is hereby fixed and determined as the date, hour and place of a public hearing for the consideration of said mat.te.rs and for hearing and receiving testimony and evidence pertaining thereto. -2- 630 . . . . . SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and shall cause to be published notice of the date, place and. purpose of said hearing in the manner required by law. RESOLUTION NO, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING A PUBLIC HEARING, RECEIVING EVIDENCE AND MAKING RECOM- MENDA TlONS CONCERNING THE RECLASSIFYING OF PROPERTY WITHIN THE AREAS COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE SANTA ANITA VILLAGE COMMUNITY HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION AND THE RANCHO SANTA ANITA RESIDENTS ASSOCIA TlON IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROCEDURES ESTABLISHED BY CHAPTER 2 OF ARTICLE IX OF THE ARCADIA MUNICIPAL CODE. THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the ?Jblic health, welfare and convenience of the City . of Arcadia and the inhabitonts thereof require the consideration of and the institution of proceedings for the pu-pose of holding hearings, receiving evidence and making recommendations to determine if the properties within the areas known as Santa Anita Village Commun ity Homeowners Association and the Rancho Santa Anita Residents Association shoud be reclcssified from Zone R-I to Zone RO-o and R-I-o. The two areas are located within the following boundaries: Colorado Street and Colorado Place on the north and eastj on the south by the southerly line of Tract No. 14940 and No. 15318j and on the west by Baldwin Avenue, Those properties bounded on the north by Colorado Street, on the west by Sunset Boulevard and Michillinda Avenue, on the south by Huntington Drive, and on the east by Baldwin Avenue.
