proposing to build undertake a remodel of the existing single-family residence including a ground floor
addition and a new, second story addition, encroach into the dripline of a protected tree, and Accessory
Dwelling Unit (ADU) that is subject to the City’s Single- Family Architectural Design Review process. You
have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a decision on the project described
below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15303 from the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) for the new construction of one single-family dwelling; and
B. Single-Family Design Review No. SFADR No. 23-15
Project Description: The Applicant is proposing an addition to and remodel of an existing residence
comprising the following: first story addition of 1,245 square feet, and a new second story of 2,016 square
feet. The new proposed home will also encroach into the dripline of a protected oak tree and have a new
1,000 square foot detached Accessory Dwelling Unit and The remodeled house is proposed to have a
Mediterranean architectural style.

Existing Building Size (excluding the garage): 1,971 square feet
New Building Size (excluding the garage): 5,232 square feet
Floor Area Ratio Proposed: 7,191 square feet (37%)
Floor Area Ratio Allowed: 7,693 square feet (40%)
Comment Period: Wednesday, November 29, 2023 to Wednesday, December 13, 2023, 5:30 PM.
