proposing to build a new single-family residence with a detached Accessory Dwelling Unit that is
subject to the City’s Single- Family Architectural Design Review process. You have the opportunity
to provide comments prior to the City making a decision on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15303 from the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) for the new construction of one, single-family dwelling.
B. Single-Family Architectural Design Review No. SFADR 24-07 and Accessory Dwelling
Unit Zoning Clearance No. ZCL-ADU 24-12
Project Description: The applicant is proposing a new 3,976 square foot, single-family, one-story,
Prairie-style residence. The residence will have an attached 672 square foot three-car garage, front
porch, and rear covered patio. The project also includes a detached, 995 square foot Accessory
Dwelling Unit (ADU) with a one-car garage.
Lot Size: 17,523 square feet.
Existing Building Size (excluding the garage): 1,627 square feet.
New Building Size (excluding garages, basement and ADU): 3,976 square feet.
Floor Area Ratio Proposed: 5,239 square feet (30%)
Floor Area Ratio Allowed: 7,781 square feet (44%)
Comment Period: May 10, 2024 to May 24, 2024 at 4:30 PM
