SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH
ARCADIA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR TRANSPORTATION FOR
RECREATION ACTIVITIES FROM JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30,
2010.
Recommendation: Approve
It is recommended that the City Council renew the agreement with Arcadia Unified
School District to provide transportation for recreation activities from July 1, 2009
through June 30, 2010.
The Recreation and Community Services Department has been using transportation
services from the Arcadia Unified School District for transportation for day camp, sports
camp, and field trips. As set forth in the terms of the current agreement, the contract
may be renewed for a maximum of two years. This would be the second proposed
renewal of the contract.
The budget for transportation services for the fiscal year 2009 -10 is $50,700. The
proposed budget is sufficient to cover the transportation costs for the programs.
Authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with The Arcadia Unified School
District for transportation for recreation activities for the period of July 1, 2009 through
June 30, 2010, in the amount of $50,700.
