NOTICE OF PENDING DECISION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the owner of the subject property is requesting a
Single-Story Architectural Design Review and a Major Administrative Modification for the construction of a 552
square foot, single-story addition to an existing single-story residence. You have the opportunity to comment on
the project prior to the City making a decision on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Sections 15301(e)(1) and 15305(a) of the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) Guidelines for an addition to an existing structure and minor alteration in land use
limitations; and
B. Single-Story Architectural Design Review No. SSADR 25-01 and Major Administrative Modification
No. Major AM 24-13
Project Description: The applicant is proposing a 552 square foot, single-story addition for a new bedroom wing
at the rear of an existing single-story home located at 1510 Highland Oaks Drive. A modification is also being
requested for the proposed addition to have the same 6’-0” side yard setback as the existing home, in lieu of the
required 8’-5” side yard setback for a length of 37’-0”. The addition will comply with all other applicable
development standards.
Existing Residence Size (excluding garage): 2,032 square feet
Proposed Addition Size: 552 square feet
Required Side Yard Setback: 8’-5”
Proposed Side Yard Setback: 6’-0”
Comment Period: Tuesday, January 28, 2025 to Tuesday, February 11, 2025 by 5:30 PM
