The applicant is requesting a one -year extension for the
following Modifications and an Oak Tree Encroachment
Permit originally approved on October 14, 2008:
1. A 2' -0" separation between a proposed 324 square
foot porte cochere and a proposed 484 square -foot
detached garage in lieu of the minimum 10' -0"
separation required between structures;
2. A 7' -2" southerly side yard setback in lieu of the
minimum 17' -6" required for the proposed detached
garage;
3. A 10' -0" street side yard setback (off of Orange
Grove Ave.) in lieu of the minimum 20' -0" required
for the relocation of pool equipment; and
4. Encroachment by the proposed porte cochere upon
a mature Canyon Live Oak tree.
NOTE: The Santa Anita Oaks Architectural Review
Board has granted a one -year extension.
The applicant is requesting Design Review approval
and a Modification to allow a 10' -9" street -side yard
setback in lieu of 20' -0" required to convert the existing
268 square -foot breezeway into livable space that is
located between the existing garage and house.
There is a five (5) working day appeal period. Appeals are to be filed by 5:30 p.m. on December 30, 2009.
Any writings or documents provided to a majority of the Modification Committee members regarding any
item on this agenda will be made available for public inspection in the Planning Services office at Arcadia
City Hall, 240 W. Huntington Dr., Arcadia, CA 91007 (626) 574 -5423.

The applicant is requesting the following Modification to
rebuild an existing 1,924 square -foot, one story, single
family residence for a 740 square -foot addition to the
main dwelling:
1. An 8' -9" easterly side yard setback in lieu of 10' -3"
required for an existing portion of the main dwelling.
