NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the
following Project, as described below:
A. A Categorical Exemption from CEQA Pursuant to Section 15301(a) of the CEQA Guidelines –
Use of Existing Facilities; and
B. Conditional Use Permit No. CUP 25-01 and Major Administrative Modification AM 25-05
Project Description: A request for a Conditional Use Permit to move an existing 762-square-foot
tutoring center from Unit 216 to a larger 1,333-square-foot space (Unit 108) within the same commercial
building at 20 E. Foothill Boulevard.
The proposed changes are:
1.Increase student capacity from 12 to 29 students
2. Change operating hours to Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
3.Continue instruction in STEM, English, Spanish, and Art
Because of the higher student capacity, the required parking spaces would increase from 6 to 18 spaces.
The applicant is also requesting a parking to reduce this parking requirement to 12 spaces.
