Make Sure You Are Counted
Census 2010 1s coming up and It Is Important that everyone be

reports.
♦ Census information helps determine locations for schools, roads,
hospitals, job training, child care and senior citizen centers and more.

Do You Need a Permit?
If you are planning to do work around your
house, please check with the Building Division
at City Hall before beginning the work to find
out if a permit is necessary. Projects such as
room additions, roofing, window
replacements, driveways, patio covers, sheds
and gazebos, new heating and air
conditioning units, new plumbing fixtures and
electrical equipment all require a permit.
The primary purpose of a building permit is safety—to protect
you, your family and your neighbors from work that does not
meet minimum construction standards and codes. Permits and
inspections help protect you and your investment.
Annual overnight parking permits can be purchased for $84
from the Cashier's Office at City Hall (240 West Huntington
Drive). The application can be picked up at City Hall or
downloaded from the City website - www.c1.arcnd1a.ca.us
Temporary permits are available for purchase in the lobby of
the Arcadia Police Department (250 West Huntington
Drive) and on the City website. Just click the Online Services
button on the homepage.
