NOTICE OF PENDING DECISION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the owner of the
subject property is requesting to retroactively remove one (1) protected tree.
You have the opportunity to comment on the project described below prior to
the City making a decision.
A. California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Section 15061(b)(3) the
removal of a protected tree would not adversely change the
environment.
B. Healthy Tree Removal Application No. TRH 25-12
Project Description: The Applicant is requesting to retroactively remove one
(1) mature protected paperbark tree (Melaleuca quinquenervia) located in the
side setback of the property. The Applicant removed the tree due to safety
concerns with the tree interfering with nearby structures and utilities with
potential safety risk to property and residents. As evaluated by a Certified
Arborist, the protected tree removal may be mitigated with the planting of two
(2) 24-inch boxed trees within the side yard of the subject property.
Comment Period: November 17, 2025 to December 1, 2025 at 5:30 PM
