HomeMy WebLinkAboutLibrary Agreement with Arcadia Unified School DistrictAGREEMENT AUSD Contract No. 3220 THIS AGREEMENT is between the City of Arcadia, a Municipal Corporation, hereinafter referred to as "CITY" and the Arcadia Unified School District, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT ". WHEREAS, City maintains a full service Public Library with computerized on -line public catalog; and WHEREAS, District's educational function will be enhanced by expanded accessibility to the Library. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY AND DISTRICT HEREBY AGREE AS FOLLOWS: 1. District shall have access to the City Public Library on- line public catalog. District shall also be allocated library cards to be issued to particular schools within the District for the usual purposes of checking out library materials 2. Computer access and the provision of library cards shall be subject to the following terms and conditions: The issuance and use of library cards as set forth above shall be subject to whatever rules and requirements are established by the Library Director, including but not limited to the following: (1) Designated District staff shall be responsible for library materials. (2) The usual library rules applicable to all users shall apply. Library cards shall be issued in the name of the particular school, with a designated contact person to be included on the registration. 3. This Agreement may be terminated at any time by either party, subject to a 30 -day written notice. The City Library Director may promulgate additional rules to administer this Agreement. These rules may be added from time to time by an Exhibit "A" to be attached as part of this Agreement and shall be binding on District provided the District receives 30 -day written notice.
