REPORTS FROM HEALTH COMMISSIONERS
Commissioner Dr. Feng distributed a comprehensive Post-Arcadia Health Fair Briefing packet
to all attendees. The packet provided detailed information on the background, objectives,
and scope of the eye screening initiative targeted at individuals with diabetes. The primary
goal of this screening was to facilitate early detection of diabetic ret inopathy, a common
complication that can lead to vision loss if not diagnosed and managed promptly. The
briefing materials included insights into the outcomes and lessons learned from the event,
serving as a valuable resource for future health initiatives. Notably, Commissioner Dr. Feng
reported that although two machines were scheduled for delivery, only one was provided.

a. Health Fair 2026
1. Sponsorship Criteria
The consensus was that sponsorship should be restricted to health-related companies.
Sponsors will be featured on the 2026 Health Fair banner and program brochure. The
sponsorship fee has increased from $2,000 to $2,500 per sponsor. While there is no cap o n
the number of sponsors, primary sponsors must be healthcare related. Additional sponsors
will be considered later if there is a need for more support. This approach ensures targeted
promotion and maintains event focus on health industry partners.
2. Booth Criteria
The consensus was that information booths should be restricted to healthcare -related
entities, with a fee of $300 per booth. Commissioner Thomassian proposed adding wellness
and fitness companies. Commissioner Daniels clarified that the 2026 Health Fair should
focus on organizations with a significant presence and service provision within the

community.
