NOTICE OF PENDING DECISION IS HEREBY GIVEN that a tenant of the subject property is
requesting a Minor Use Permit to operate a fitness facility (Pilates studio). You have the
opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a decision on the project
described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15301 from the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) for the use of an existing facility, such as the existing tenant space in an
existing multitenant commercial building; and
B. Minor Use Permit No. MUP 26-07
Project Description: A Minor Use Permit to allow operation of a Pilate studio within an
approximately 1,600-square-foot tenant space at 34 E. Live Oak Ave., Unit B in an existing
commercial building. The Pilate studio will utilize 800 square feet for two (2) instructional areas.
One (1) area will be for small group sessions and one (1) area will be for private training. Group
sessions consist of one (1) instructor with a maximum of five (5) participants, and the private
training studio will consist of one (1) instructor and a maximum of two (2) participants (total 9
people). The proposed hours are 9:00 AM - 8:30 PM Monday through Friday, and 9:00 AM to
12:00 PM on weekends. The project includes minor interior tenant improvements only. No
exterior building alterations, building expansion, or landscape changes are proposed.
Comment Period: October 7, 2026 to October 21, 2026 at 5:30 PM
