Please see the attached photos of some of the items that need to be resolved for my approval of your HVAC installation. 1 A minimum of 1" clearance from the fau b-vent to any combustibles at the roof penetration. 2 Make up all R-6 ducting connections per the manufacturer's installation requirements and the Energy Code. 3 The 2' catwalk needs to lead to the working side of the attic fau,then a 30" x 30" working space plywood platform shall be on the front side of the fau for maintenance.Also non-metallic sheathed electrical wiring shall not cross over the top of the catwalk or the working space in front of the fau. 4 Remove all restrictions from the R-6 flex ducting and support it with smooth turning radiuses for acceptable air flow. 5 Insulate all metal duct ty's per the Energy Code.
