Doors are 42” x 84” narrow style (unless specified otherwise), 1-3/4” thick, with offset pivots, MS lock (keyed outside and ADA thumb turn inside), classic style push/pull handle, and glazed with.220” thick acrylic or polycarbonate glazing. ACRYLITE sheet self-ignition temperature (ASTM D-1929) is 850°F (455°C), smoke density as measured by ASTM D2843 is 6.4%, and the rate of
burning as measured by ASTM D-635 is 1.0 in/min (25mm/min) for 1/8” (3mm) thick sheet.
2. Door closers are size 4, grade 1, hydraulic with back check.
3. Wall panels are constructed out of microbial resistant, powder painted, extruded aluminum shapes and .220” thick acrylic sheets glazed with rubber seals on both sides. Walls are 4-1/2” thick.
ACRYLITE sheet self-ignition temperature (ASTM D-1929) is 850°F (455°C), smoke density as measured by ASTM D2843 is 6.4%, and the rate of burning as measured by ASTM D-635 is 1.0
in/min (25mm/min) for 1/8” (3mm) thick sheet.
4. Ceilings are fabricated from microbial resistant, powder painted, extruded aluminum shapes and CRF vinyl finished, clean room rated ceiling tiles. Tiles will be caulked in place. CertainTeed
Envirogard Ceiling Tiles ASTM E1264 - Class A rating
5. Floors are not included in contract but can be made of different components. If vinyl floor is used it shall be installed after the cleanroom is installed and coved up the wall. Vinyl floor shall beseamless, if seams exists they shall be heat welded. If epoxy floor is used it is necessary for the floor to be installed prior to the installation of the cleanroom so the cleanroom can sit on top of it.

always remain on.
6. Digital Monitoring System (if supplied with clean room suite) consists of a PLC/HMI unit in a cabinet mounted near the main door and a Digital Space Monitor (DSM) cabinet for each room in the
clean room suite. Communications between the cabinets and fan filter units (if control is supplied) is through supplied plenum rated CAT5e cables. The system will be installed per the attached
wiring diagram, except for the 120V power supply which shall be furnished and installed by others. Connection to a Building Management System shall be by Owner’s contractor.
7. Automatic Doors (if supplied with clean room suite) consist of ASSA ABLOY SW100 Low Energy Swing Door Operators with BEA MS11 Adjustable Range, Stainless Steel Touchless
1. Owner’s electrician shall engineer, furnish, and install all wiring and receptacles for each outlet. Owner’s electrician shall seal all electrical covers using a silicone caulk equivalent to C.R.
Laurence Co. – 33SC caulk. Electrical system shall be sized to handle proposed equipment and shall meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
2. Owner’s electrician shall engineer, furnish, and install all wiring and switches for the lighting system. Owner’s electrician shall seal all electrical covers using a silicone caulk equivalent to C.R.
Laurence Co. – 33SC caulk. Lights shall be wired to meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
3. Owner’s electrician shall engineer, furnish, and install all wiring for the Fan Filter Units (HEPA’s). It is recommended that units be wired directly back to a circuit breaker in the electrical panel.Units shall be wired to meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
4. Owner’s electrician shall engineer, furnish, and install a dedicated 120V circuit to the Digital Monitoring System (if supplied with clean room suite).
5. Owner’s electrician shall engineer, furnish, and install all data and communications systems. Owner’s electrician shall seal all electrical covers using a silicone caulk equivalent to C.R. Laurence
Co. – 33SC caulk.
6. Owner’s electrician shall engineer, furnish, and install 120V power wiring for the automatic door operators (if supplied with clean room suite). Owner’s electrician shall furnish and install

Mechanical Notes
Owner’s Requirements (Not Provided with Room)
1. The clean room suite has been designed so that positive pressure rooms are maintained at 0.02 InWC or greater and negative pressure rooms are maintainedbetween -0.01 to -0.03 InWC.
2. Non-sterile Hazardous cleanrooms must be exhausted to the outside at a minimum of 12 air changes per hour.
3. Fan Filter Units (FFU’s - HEPA’s) have adjustable speed settings. AJ Manufacturing 2’x4’ Criti-Clean Ultra units have a speed setting button and value display
on the room side of the unit. The fan speed is set either by using the up or down buttons or from the Digital Monitoring System (if supplied with clean room
suite). Design airflows will be designated on the Air Flow Diagram. Airflow values are approximate.
4. FFU’s are furnished with a collar adapter to connect to the building HVAC system. The FFU’s sponge pre-filter has been removed from the unit. If a single
collar adapter is furnished, it should be connected to the Owner furnished A/C supply via a balance damper system. If a double collar adapter is furnished, one
collar should be connected to the Owner furnished A/C supply via a balance damper system and the other should be connected to the furnished clean room
return plenum (a balance damper is not required on this line). Collar sizes will be designated on the Air Flow Diagram.
5. If the cleanroom suite is supplied with a Return Plenum (normally located in the Ante Room), it is designed to recycle a portion of the conditioned air back tothe FFU’s to reduce the required sizing of the air handling unit (AHU) supplying the suite. If the cleanroom suite is supplied with a Return Plenum, it should beducted back to each FFU (as shown on the Air \ Flow Diagram) using rigid duct to reduce resistance in the ductwork.
6. A separate (AHU), supplied by others, is recommended for all cleanroom suites to adequately control the suite temperature. The AHU should be designed to
keep the suite at 68°F, or less (due to gowning requirements of personnel), year-round. The thermostat for the AHU should be installed in the Ante Room (on
the dirty side of the Line of Demarcation (LOD)).The AHU should be controlled to always be running (not in auto).
7. Vents with opposed blade dampers are furnished to allow pressure to be controlled in and between rooms.
8. Each room in the clean room suite has been supplied with a magnehelic gauge near the entrance to the clean room suite. Pressure differentials between
rooms are also displayed and recorded by the Digital Monitoring System, if supplied with clean room suite. A Tubing diagram has been provided to depict how
the magnehelics and Digital Monitoring System, if provided, are installed by TCA.
1. Owner’s mechanical contractor shall engineer, furnish, and install all ductwork to the FFU’s, exhausts and returns as well as any AHU’s for space conditioning.
2. If supplied with clean room suite, returns shall be ducted to each FFU. Connection sizes and airflows will be designated on the Air Flow Diagram.
3. If supplied with clean room suite, exhausts shall be ducted to the outside meeting all applicable federal, state and local codes. Owner’s mechanical contractorshall engineer, furnish, and install an exhaust fan to ensure the specified air flow is achieved.
4. Owner’s mechanical contractor shall furnish and install all controls for the AHU that supplies air to the clean room suite.
5. Owner’s mechanical contractor shall engineer, furnish, and install all required ductwork for any hoods that are installed in the clean room suite. Contractor shallmake and seal any penetrations made in the clean room ceiling tiles to accommodate the ductwork.
6. Owner’s mechanical contractor shall balance the HVAC system, as required. The required air flows will be designated on the Air Flow Diagram.
