THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH EXISTING CONDITIONS AND ADVISE THE OWNER AND ARCHITECT IN WRITING OF ANY SITUATION THAT WOULD NOT ALLOW HIM TO PROCEED ON THE BASIS OF THESE DOCUMENTS. 2.GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE ARCHITECT FOR ANY DISCREPANCIES FOUND ON THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO PROCEEDING. LARGE SCALE DRAWINGS PRECEDENT TO SMALLER SCALE DRAWINGS. 3.THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS AND PERFORM ALL SELECTIVE REMOVAL WORK REQUIRED FOR THIS CONTRACT. 4.THE ARCHITECT'S SELECTION OF MATERIAL AND DETAILS DOES NOT RELIEVE THE CONTRACTOR OF VERIFYING WITH THEIR SUPPLIER THAT PROPOSED MATERIALS ARE PROPER FOR THE INTENDED APPLICATION AND USE. 5.REFER TO M.E.P. DRAWINGS FOR LAYOUT, SIZE, CIRCUITING AND GENERAL LOCATIONS OF MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING ITEMS. REFER TO ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS FOR EXACT LOCATION OF MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, AND PLUMBING ITEMS. 6.ALL DIMENSIONS SHALL BE VERIFIED IN FIELD BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH WORK. ARCHITECT SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY MODIFICATIONS. 7.ALL DIMENSIONS ARE TO EXT. FACE OF FINISH GYPSUM BOARD UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. 8.DOOR DESIGNATIONS IDENTIFY EACH DOOR BY NUMBER ASSOCIATED WITH THE ROOM NUMBER THE DOOR SWINGS INTO. WHEN THE ROOM NUMBER DOES NOT EXIST THE DOOR IS IDENTIFIED BY THE ROOM NUMBER OF CLOSEST ROOM. 9.WORK WHICH CREATES EXCESSIVE NOISE OR DISRUPTION TO TENANT SHALL BE PERFORMED DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS ONLY. CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH BUILDING MANAGEMENT. 10.MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING, FIRE PROTECTION AND FIRE LIFE SAFETY DRAWINGS SHALL BE SUBMITTED FOR PLAN CHECK AS A SEPARATE PACKAGES AND PERMITS SHALL BE OBTAINED, AS REQUIRED, BY THE CONTRACTOR. 11.ALL SPRINKLERS (ALL TYPES), SECURITY CAMERAS, SPEALERS ETC. SHALL BE CENTERED WITHIN CEILING TILE UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. 12.LOCATIONS OF SPRINKLER ARE SHOWN FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN INTENT PLACEMENT. SPACING MUST ALSO SATISFY ALL CODES AND THE MORE STRINGENT DIMENSIONS SHALL APPLY. CONTRACTOR SHOULD COORDINATE WITH ARCHITECT IF SPRINKLER SPACING REQUIREMENT IS DIFFERENT FROM REFLECTED CEILING PLANS. 13.CARPET OR CARPET TILE SHALL BE SECURELY ATTACHED; HAVE A FIRM CUSHION, PAD OR BACKING OR NO CUSHION OR PAD, AND HAVE A LEVEL LOOP, TEXTURED LOOP, LEVEL CUT PILE, OR LEVEL CUT/UNCUT PILE TEXTURE. THE MAXIMUM PILE HEIGHT SHALL BE 1/2". EXPOSED EDGES OF CARPET SHALL BE FASTENED TO FLOOR SURFACES AND HAVE TRIM ALONG THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE EXPOSED EDGE. 14.GFRG ACCESS PANELS TO BE PROVIDED IN ALL HARD LID CEILINGS FOR FIRE DAMPER, MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT, ABOVE CEILING REQUIRED PER CODE. COORDINATE LOCATION OF THE ACCESS PANELS WITH ARCHITECT IF NOT SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS. 15.MISCELLANEOUS METAL SHOWN ON DRAWINGS ARE FOR DESIGN GUIDE ONLY. GENERAL CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE STRUCTURAL CALCULATION AND INTEGRITY OF MISCELLANEOUS METALS. 16.MILLWORK DRAWINGS ARE FOR DESIGN INTENT ONLY. U.S. Gypsum #3270 Vinyl Rock 1) Walls and ceilings in all areas except dining area shall be durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, and easily washable with a light colored (light colored is defined as having a light reflectance value of 70% or greater) finish. 2) All counter surfaces including underside shall be durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, easily washable finish (may require stainless steel or high pressure laminate). 3) Tiles in restrooms, service area and kitchen shall be durable, smooth, nonabsorbent, easily washable finish. 4) Flooring under equipment and at the base coves shall be completely smooth. Floor surfaces which contain slip-resistant agents shall be restricted to traffic areas only. 5) All equipment shall be either easily movable (ie., on casters), on min. 6 inch rounded metal legs, or sealed to min. 4 inch solid masonry island with min. three-eighths inch coved radius. 6) Concrete floor must use top-set type ceramic coved base. 7) Water resistant walls (ie. FRP, stainless steel, tiles) are required behind all sinks and dishwashers. Material to be min. 4 ft. high for LA County, min. 8 ft. high for other counties. All restroom walls to have moisture resistant gypsum board backing. 8) A min. 50-foot candles of light measured 30" A.F.F. in prep areas; a min. 20-foot candles of light in sake bar, handwashing areas, utensil washing area, & restrooms; a min. 10-foot candles of light in storage, janitorial area & walk-in cooler.
