HomeMy WebLinkAboutNoticeNOTICE OF PENDING DECISION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the property owner of the subject property is proposing to build a new single-family residence that is subject to the City’s Single-Family Architectural Design Review process. You have the opportunity to comment on the project prior to the City making a decision on the project described below:
A. Categorical Exemption per Section 15303(a) from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the new construction of one, single-family dwelling; and
B. Single-Family Architectural Design Review No. SFADR 25-07, Tree Encroachment Permit No. TRE 26-05, and Accessory Dwelling Unit Permit No. ADU 25-24.
Project Description: The applicant proposes to demolish the existing residence and construct a new single-story Prairie-style residence with 4,094 square feet of living area, a 930-square-foot attached four-car garage, and a 100-square-foot covered front porch. The project also includes the construction of a detached 1,000-square-foot Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with a 50-square-foot covered porch. In addition, the project includes Tree Encroachment Permit No. TRE 26-05 for construction activities within the protected zones of three off-site protected trees, including a 26-inch Holly Oak (Quercus ilex), a 13-inch Hollywood Juniper (Juniperus chinensis), and a 16-inch Holly Oak (Quercus ilex). The project arborist has determined that the trees can be preserved with implementation of the recommended tree protection measures.

Comment Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 to Monday, June 15, 2026 at 5:30 PM
Persons wishing to comment on the project and/or environmental documents may do so by submitting written statements to Planning Services prior to the June 15, 2026,
5:30 PM deadline. Under this process, no formal hearing is required. A Notice of Decision will be mailed to those residents and property owners who submit written
comments on this project or request in writing to be notified of the decision. An appeal of this administrative decision may be filed within ten (10) days following the date of
the decision with the required application and appeal fee. You may also visit the City’s website at www.ArcadiaCA.gov/noticesanddecisions to view this notice, the
architectural plans related to this project, and the approval/denial letter. Please note that City Hall will be closed on Fri day, June 12, 2026.
