NOTICE OF PENDING DECISION IS HEREBY GIVEN that the owner of the
subject property is requesting to receive retroactive approval to remove one
(1) protected tree. You have the opportunity to comment on the project
described below prior to the City making a decision.
A.California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Section 15061(b)(3) the
removal of a single protected tree would not adversely change the
environment.
B.Healthy Tree Removal Application No. TRH 26-10
Project Description: The applicant requests retroactive approval for the
removal of one (1) protected 23-inch diameter Southern Magnolia tree.
The tree was removed without first obtaining the required City approval. To
compensate for the removal, the applicant proposes to plant one (1) 36-inch
box Coast Live Oak or California sycamore tree within the front yard and one
(1) additional tree of a species not identified on the City's "Unprotected
Species" list, within the rear yard area.
Comment Period: July 16, 2026 to July 30, 2026 at 5:30 PM
Persons wishing to comment on this application may submit written comments to the Planning Services Division no later than 5:30 p.m. on July 30,
2026. No public hearing is required for this request. A Notice of Decision will be mailed to all residents and property owners who submit written
comments on the application or request, in writing, to be notified of the decision. Any person dissatisfied with the decision may file an appeal within ten
(10) calendar days of the decision date by submitting the required appeal application and fee. You may also visit the City's website at
www.ArcadiaCA.gov/noticesanddecisions to view this notice, the arborist report related to this application, and the approval or denial letter. Please
note that City Hall will be closed on Friday, July 24, 2026.
