the following project:
A.A Categorical Exemption from CEQA Pursuant to Section 15301(a) ofthe CEQA Guidelines pertaining to the use of an existing facility, and
B.Conditional Use Permit No. CUP 26-05 (Amending CUP 19-06)
Project Description: Conditional Use Permit Amendment to allow additional performing arts-related uses and operational changes to an existing music school (dba: Creation Talent Academy) located within a 5,797 square-foot commercial unit at the Arcadia Hub Shopping Center, 1229 S. Baldwin Avenue. The amendment would expand the approved instructional activities to include singing, acting, dance/movement, and audition preparation, and would allow a supervised study and homework area for enrolled students, appointment-only academic and arts admissions counseling, and indoor photography studio services within the same tenant space. The amendment would also increase the maximum number of students onsite from 17 to 25 and modify the hours of operation to 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. No expansion of the tenant space or exterior modifications are proposed.
